Gazela was successful abroad in 2007

Gazela wine increased 35 per cent in the international markets in 2007. The main brand of Sogrape's green wine keeps growing in an increasing way, achieving new markets and strengthening their presence in the world. 'More and more consumers prove that Gazela brand makes life more pleasurable!' Nowadays, external market already represents 44 per cent of the sales of Gazela. 'In fact, these numbers are encouraging!' The growth of Gazela was up to 70 per cent in Canada and was estimated in 65 per cent in the USA. Its growth exceeded 50 per cent in France, reached 23 per cent in Sweden and 16 per cent in Angola. 'These results speak from themselves. Even though the project of Gazela is addressed to Portuguese consumer' preferences, it has been consecutively showing its potential beyond Portuguese market and it is now successful in important international markets', informed Mr. Francisco Ferreira, Sogrape's CEO.
